Something Not Right?
Something Not Right? Sometimes parents know that something is up with their kids or they may have even suffered a similar problem. It could be that little thing you just can't put your finger on or can't quite explain. A little lisp, some messy eating, noisy breathing, funny pronunciation on certain words, a stutter or trouble working and learning with language.
These little signs and symptoms could all point to a mouth that isn't living up to its Mighty potential!

Cat Got Your Tongue?
Many kids and adults can have issues with the tongue and its function. Speech pathologists can help as part of a team to educate and strengthen the tongue within your Mighty Mouth.
Known as "Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders" these issues can present with things such as messy eating and tongue thrust swallow, difficulties with certain sounds and even crooked teeth (ref ASHA.org). A Speech Pathologist along with help from other health professionals can help correct these problems and some of the causes such as thumb and dummy sucking,
low tongue posture and atypical swallowing pattern. Read more here
